Email Configuration Guide
1. Outgoing mail server (SMTP) – Using 3 Fixed Broadband Domain (Outlook Express 5.0 or above)
  1.Open "Outlook Express".
 
  2. Select "Tools" from pull-down menu, click "Accounts".
 

  3. Choose “Mail” page, click “Add”, and then click “Mail” to open the Internet Connection Wizard.
 

  4. Fill in "User Name" (e.g. User_ID), and then click "Next".
 

  5. Input your “E-mail address” (e.g. User_ID@threebb.com.hk), and then click “Next”.
 
   
  6. Choose “POP3” as “My incoming mail server”. Fill in your "Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server"
(e.g. pop.threebb.com.hk) and "Outgoing Mail Server (mail02.threebb.com.hk or mail02.hgcbroadband.com (if applicable) or mail02.net-yan.com (if applicable)".
 

  7. Fill in "Account name" (e.g. User_ID@threebb.com.hk) and "Password”, then click "Next".
 

 
8. Click "Finish".
 


 
9. Your account will be created on the “Mail” page (e.g. pop@threebb.com.hk), double-click "pop.threebb.com.hk".
 


 
10. Select "Servers" tab, input “Incoming mail (POP3)” (e.g. pop.threebb.com.hk), “Outgoing mail (SMTP)”
(mail02.threebb.com.hk or mail02.hgcbroadband.com (if applicable) or mail02.net-yan.com (if applicable)),
“Account name”(e.g. User_ID@threebb.com.hk)
and “Password”. Then tick "My server requires authentication", and click "Settings".
 


 
11. Select "Log on using", then input your 3 Fixed Broadband e-mail address as “Account name” and input “Password”,
then click "OK".
 


 
12. Click "Close" to finish the whole settings.

2.Outgoing mail server (SMTP) – Using Non-3 Fixed Broadband Domain (Outlook Express 5.0 or above)
 

1.Open "Outlook Express".

 
 

2.Select "Tools" from pull-down menu, click "Accounts".

 

  3.Choose “Mail” page, click “Add”, and then click “Mail” to open the Internet Connection Wizard.
 

 

4.Fill in "User Name" (e.g. User_ID), and then click "Next".

 

  5.Input your “E-mail address” (e.g. User_ID@abc.com), and then click “Next”.
 

 

6. Choose “POP3” as “My incoming mail server”. Fill in your "Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server"
(e.g. pop.abc.com) and "Outgoing Mail Server (mail02.threebb.com.hk or mail02.hgcbroadband.com (if applicable) or mail02.net-yan.com (if applicable)".

 

  7. Fill in "Account name" (e.g. User_ID@abc.com) and "Password”, then click "Next".
 

  8. Click "Finish".
 

  9. Your account will be created on the “Mail” page (e.g. pop@abc.com), double-click "pop.abc.com".
 

 
10. 11. Select "Log on using", then input your 3 Fixed Broadband e-mail address as “Account name” and input “Password”,
then click "OK".
 


 
12. Click "Close" to finish the whole settings.

3. Change of Password
  1. Go to http://password.hgcbroadband.com .
   
  2. Enter Your e-mail address, password and new password.
 
   
  3. Click "Change Password"
 
   
  Password changed successful!
 

Press Here to change your E-mail Password.

Outlook Express - Setup Guide
1. Start "Outlook Express".
 
   
  2. In Outlook Express, click Accounts on the Tools menu.
 
   
  3. In the Internet Accounts dialog box, click Add, and then click News.
 
   
  4. In the Display Name box, type the name you want other people to see when you post a message, and then click Next.
 
   
  5. In the E-mail Address box, type the e-mail address for the account you are using (for example, apple1234@hutchcity.com), and then click Next.
 
   
  6. In the News (NNTP) Server box, type "news.hgcbroadband.com". Then click Next. NOTE: This information is provided by your Internet service provider (ISP). If you do not know this information, contact your ISP.
 
   
  7. In Outlook Express, click Next in the Congratulations screen, and then click Finished. You can now set your default newsgroup, or click Close.

Default Internet Explorer Setting Guide
1. General Setting
  1.1 Right click "Internet Explorer " on desktop, then click "Properties"
 
   
  1.2 Select "General", press "Delete Cookies" or "Delete Files"
 
   
  1.2.1 Delete Cookie, press "OK"
 
   
  1.2.2 Delete Files, click "Delete all offline content", then press "OK"

  2.1 Right click "Internet Explorer " on desktop, then click "Properties"
 
   
  2.2 Select "Connections" and select "Never dial a connection". After that, press "LAN Setting"
 
   
  2.3 Then unclick all boxes, then press "OK"
 
   
  2.4 Select "Advanced", then press "Restore Defaults"
